Welcome to the Extended Learning Program (ELP)!
At Temple City Unified School District, our Child Development Programs are dedicated to providing a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for your child to thrive outside of regular school hours.
We are excited to share that we are transitioning to a brand-new program model for the 2026–2027 school year, offering expanded opportunities for our families!
☀️ Before School (AM) Care
- Grades: TK–8th Grade
- Details: This remains a tuition-based program. Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
🎒 After School (PM) Care
- Grades TK–6th: Through state ELOP funding, after school care is now tuition-waived (free of charge) for the 2026–2027 school year! Priority registration for returning families has closed, and remaining spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis depending on available staffing and grade-level ratios.
If funding availability changes and/or a family is no longer eligible to have their tuition waived, our office will provide advance notice and communicate any applicable tuition fees to the registered family.
- Grades 7th–8th (Oak Ave Intermediate): After school care remains an option at Oak Ave and follows our standard tuition-based model.

We will reopen registration beginning September 9th, however, it is expected that at this time we will no longer have space in our program and a waitlist will have been started.
*Our program can become full at any time during open enrollment, should this be the case we will open a waitlist.
